Eli and Clara's story continues as she tries to finish high school. Eli is as over protective as ever and Tate and his group of friends are no help. They wait for the Horde, always looking over their shoulder. But the ever annoying but strangely prophetic bird begins to become more of a chatter box and Eli learns something that could change some things. Not just for him and Clara, but Devourers everywhere.
Then an unexpectedness guest comes forcing Eli to flee with Clara, leaving her temporary family behind. She is thrown into his world of underground 'traitors' and learns much of his past. They meet many new people and creatures along the way to freedom. But when tragedy strikes the two, will Clara see the monster in Eli? Can she handle his strange world and awful past? Will one of them lose their life forever...
This book was so, so heartwarming!!
Gah, I was awwww-ing so freakin' much!!
It was just absolutely adorable!
A quick read that makes you smile, brings a sense of light-heartiness upon you.
I have enjoyed reading about Clara and Eli so much.
Their love took my breath away.
And the depth they went through just to protect it!
It'll have you screaming out loud, yes out loud, at your book/nook/kindle whatever
"OMG!! I WANT THAT!!!"
I was nothing but a pile of mushy gooey girl moments practically the entire book!!
and all I can say daayyyyaaammm!!!
We go on a journey with Eli and Clara, to places we can barely imagine.
Eli risks everything, just for his love of Clara.
To save her from a fate, neither he nor she wants.
And you can see, feel and personally understand why he does the things he does, just to save her.
Eli and Clara experience so much on there journey to The Wall.
We are introduced to new characters and some old.
We get to see the paranormal and normal mix, how they live side-by-side.
They face so many challenges.
And it all comes together in the end so nicely and beautifully.
All I can say about this character is she is a fighter.
(I totally just started singing The Fighter by Gym Class Heroes)
Through everything she experiences in this book, she deserves the title of a fighter.
She didn't give up, not on herself or Eli.
A very strong female character.
there you have it :)
And then Enoch!
The bad boy, through and through, but you just fall for him anyways.
I can tell deep down, maybe reeealllly deep down in a dark crevice somewhere, where no light can reach, he has a 'soft' side to him.
Then Eli's bff, Finn!!
ha ha bff..
I never trusted him.....
Crane takes you on a face-paced journey
Full of weird, scary and quite the unique creatures.
She gives you moments of love and to 'oh no, I can't believe this is happening' moments.
She spun a story that sucks you in.
And like Devour, Consume filled me up.
I've enjoyed The Devoured books so much.
I can't express how much I have come to love them :)
I only wish that they were longer!!!!!!!
We get introduced to all kinds of characters and well, creatures, too.
We get a glimpse of Eli's world and a world filled to the brim with the unimaginable!
It was all very intriguing!
And the ending!!!
Yeah that was my reaction ... :)
All in all I so enjoyed the conclusion of Shelly Crane's Devoured books.
If you want a fast, quick and heartwarming read. Pick up this series by Shelly Crane,
it'll have you yelling out to the heavens to have a guy like Eli :)
The story doesn't end there!
Enoch's Book :
Enoch is tested.
His brother is human, the thing he hates, and when a girl needs his help, that split second decision changes his whole world in one instant. A Devourer's Fate...
