My Review

"Held my concentration captive and render me worthless"

OH OH OH,
 I loved this book
It was butterflying amazing!!!
I cried,
I laughed
I went through so many emotions with this book
and with the characters.
I feel like this one is a little bit better than Slammed.
I loved reading and experiencing everything from Will's point of view!

I was alive in their world.
With the characters, I experienced their emotions,
their ups,
their downs,
I was like a wave crashing on the shore.
All I can say, is that it was absolutely breathtaking.
A book I have enjoyed so much.
A book I know I'll have to re-read again.

Hoover done an amazing job.

We get to see Will, who he really is.
And we get to see the love he has for Lake so clearly, so purely and with un-bounding clarity .

With Point of Retreat we enter a different period in Will and Lake's life,
A new set of obstacles they must over come.
A new set of challenges to test there love.

And a test it is, in every way possible.
With this, we get to dig deeper, uncover the layers that is Will and Lake.
To find the gem of their love, to be absorb by it and live it, with them.

So many moments, so many times, that the story took me up, swept me away like a swift breeze.
I Couldn't put it down...

I felt in this book, their love was so much deeper, it held depth. It held meaning, it held life.
I was blown away.

Downside, too short :)

I finished Point of Retreat in one setting, that's how good it is.
And you know when you find a gem in the rough, a book worth reading,
is after you finish it, and there isn't any more books in the series.
You just sit and rethink about it, moment by moment.
Re-live those words again and again.
You think of the characters written on paper as real people, not fiction.
You long to hear the rest of their story,
You contemplate how it will end for them
You want to know it all.
You want to expedience it all.
You never want it to end.

I have only encountered a few books that made me feel this way.

And I have treasured each one like a dear friend.

I loved the relationship I see between Lake, Caulder, Kel and Will,
And I see their depth, their love, their belonging-ness.

I loved all the characters, I loved all their places in the book
Especially the new addition, Kiersten.
A little Eddie
A girl who I just am so glad the author put in the story.
It gave the story a new factor, an element  it needed, one I didn't even know it  even needed till Kiersten entered.
Her personality is one you fall in love with, a friend you always want by your side.

This book was a roller coaster, A ride I'm glad I stepped on.
And one I will always remember,

Once you start Slammed and Point of Retreat.
There's no turning back.

You have passed the point of  no return.

And don't forget the poetry.
Oh, I loved the poetry.
It struck my heart strings.
I wish I could do poetry for that.
*swoon moment*

After reading these books, I felt such overwhelming emotion and realized I learned a few things.
I learned, don't 'carve pumpkin's for too long.
I learned to live life, expect the unexpected.
And always have a vase filled with quotes, you never know when you are gonna need an inspiration or a little bit of advice.

Point of Retreat.
It made up for all the little things I didn't like in the first book Slammed.
I loved that we got to see Will, to read from his POV.
So, This book deserves a whopping 5 BUTTERFLYING STARS OUT OF 5!!!!
