Since the car crash that took her father’s life three years ago, Emma’s life has been a freaky — and unending — lesson in caution. Surviving “accidents” has taken priority over being a normal seventeen-year-old, so Emma spends her days taking pictures of life instead of living it. Falling in love with a boy was never part of the plan. Falling for a reaper who makes her chest ache and her head spin? Not an option.
It’s not easy being dead, especially for a reaper in love with a girl fate has put on his list not once, but twice. Finn’s fellow reapers give him hell about spending time with Emma, but Finn couldn’t let her die before, and he’s not about to let her die now. He will protect the girl he loves from the evil he accidentally unleashed, even if it means sacrificing the only thing he has left…his soul.
Two years ago, Emma should of die in the car crash that killed her father. She knows she should of died, so she lives each day of her life with caution. Only experiencing life behind the lens of her camera.
Emma tries to go on normally, but something doesn’t want that to happen. Bizarre and peculiar things just seem to happen to Emma. Weird feelings, odd sensations, and bright spots in the pictures she takes. She knows her life is anything but ‘normal’.
Finn isn’t any normal guy, he has spent years doing his job, being a reaper that is. Taking souls to the afterlife isn’t how he likes to spend his time. But then, he saves Emma from a crash she was supposed to die from.
He knows her, and he has loved her for a very long time.
With something out to get Emma, Finn knows he has to protect the girl he has loved, and he will do anything to save her soul.
Even if it means giving up his own.

Now, how to write a review for this book…. Writing reviews for books that I enjoy so much is usually so hard to do, I can’t put into words who much I love a book. But I’ll give it a try.
Inbetween was an amazing paranormal/YA read! What really made this book, were the characters. Each one was amazing in their own way and stood out so much. I truly loved each one.
Both Finn and Emma are such strong characters and they are both easy to fall in love with and like. I really did admire Emma, though her life isn’t a normal one, she keeps trying to live one day at a time. She also takes everything pretty well, no matter what was thrown at her in the end, she was strong.
Oh, and Finn, yup I love me some reapers :)
And he was just wow!
You can’t help but like his character. And his devotion to Emma, dear all things holy! Aww!! He made my toes curl! Finn is another fictional guy that you just wish was real, he had his flaws, but his heart was strong.
Fuller, in a way, gives you a story about soul mates. How people can overcome anything to be together. And the fact that Finn and Emma can’t even touch, through most of the story, will have your heart literally hurting and your stomach in butterflies.
While the main characters where amazing, so were the supporting characters. Cash is most likely my favorite character, he was brilliantly created and had me laughing so much with his attitude and his T-shirts. And let's not forget about wonderful Easton *wiggles eyebrows*
One thing I have come to realize is that I love it when author switch POVs between the two main characters. I have been reading quite a few books that do that. And boy, do I love it. You are able to get inside not just one, but both character's heads. It is such a nice experience!! At times it can be quite frustrating, but overall it gives the readers depth into the characters and the reasons behind their actions.
Another thing I found remarkable about Inbetween, was the story itself. It wasn’t a unique story, reapers and such. But the author gives it such a unique spin it felt very original. Fuller added her own little elements and twist for the story it had me gasping and wanting more. I couldn’t put this book down one I started it.
‘I would have given anything to have one more moment with her. To let her know I was there. That I’d always be there. But instead, I gave in to the wind. As usual, I belong to death.’ –pg 43
Not only was the plot amazing, it moved so well. And you can see not only the growth of the main characters, but growth of all the characters.
I was captured by the story, everything played out so nicely. From beginning to end you experience what the characters experience. You fall in love with them.
Let’s not forget how Fuller ended Inbetween, it was just fan-freakin’-tastic!! And I don’t want it to end, I want more!!!
I was able to feel the emotions of each characters, from the heart ache to the love. It was a wonderful journey.
Inbetween is a must read, in my opinion, especially if you love a book that tests the strength of love and what one will do for love. It was a delightful read, one I will always enjoy going back and experiencing. I also can’t wait to read Cash’s story!
“Oh my God, Finn!” I grabbed him, not understanding, not thinking, only moving. –pg. 305
