Review: CLASH (CRASH,#2) by Nicole Williams

Title: Clash
Series: Crash, #2
Author: Nicole Williams
Category: Contemporary Romance
Genre: New Adult
Rating: 5 stars out of 5
The only easy thing about Jude and Lucy’s relationship is their love for one another. Everything else is hard.

Especially when it comes to reining in Jude’s trigger touch temper and Lucy’s increasing jealousy of Jude’s Spirit Sister on the cheer squad who’s attached herself to him in just about every way a girl could. Feeling the stress of trying to hang on to her quintessential bad boy while becoming the foremost dancer in her class, Lucy knows something’s going to break. She wants both. She needs both. But if she doesn’t make a choice, she risks losing everything.

For Lucy Larson and Jude Ryder, love might be the thing that just isn’t enough.

My Review:

WOW…

I just loved this book.. Can I just make this review short and sweet and say READ THIS BOOK??? HA! No?? Oh well, I tried! Clash is, in my opinion, an amazing read. A perfect sequel for Crash. Nicole Williams blew my mind once again, and gave me some much needed Jude.

Clash was amazing and took my breath away. And just like Crash, Clash is a, skip meals for, stay up all night to read, ignore everything, don’t even put it down to go to the bathroom, kind of read. Once you start, you just can’t put it down, or well, I couldn't! And at just the first sentence, I had the biggest grin on my face.

I was so happy to finally get to see more of Jude and Lucy’s story.
This review will not be able to capture the greatest that was this book, but I’ll give you a little bit of how I feel :)

Like our relationship, we did everything a bit out of the box.

Jude and Lucy have experienced a lot, when I say a lot, I mean it. They have experienced the ups and downs of trying to love each other. They have faced things that others wouldn’t imagine, and through all the hardship, their love has survived and has grown stronger.
But new obstacles stand in their way, and they are tested in ways they wouldn’t expect. Their relationship has never been easy, but can their love survive the new challenges ahead of them?

Just like Clash, Crash is raw, breathtaking, and grab-the-edge-of-your-seat exhilarating. It’s a rollercoaster of emotions, a ride that has it's ups and downs, with twists and turns that take your breath and when you step off the ride, you want to get right back on.

What I really loved about this book, was well, of course Jude, but the story of Lucy and Jude. I can see their growth from the first book. It was a delight to see, but even with their growth, they still have so much more growing to do, especially together. And that happens. Through all of the ups and downs and heartache they experience, they try so hard to be together, and they also learn to love each other even more.

Now, this is a hit or miss book, you either love it, which I did, or you don't. But it's a book you have to at least try!!
I love books that test relationships,  couples that have major flaws, deep scars and angst. Yup, I like me some good angst. But it is raw, and to me that makes the story, the love, more real.Williams did amazing to give this book a depth of emotion that left me reeling and mesmerized. Williams is amazing, truly talented when it comes to allowing the readers to experience the emotions of the characters in the book.

When I’d fallen for a broken boy that had managed to fix me somewhere along the way.

I also love the characters in this book, Jude and Lucy, are two of the most stubborn, quick tempered characters I have read about. When I say stubborn, they could be so thick headed I, at times, wanted to shake them. But they were real to me, they fumbled and stumbled along the way, but they kept getting back up and trying again.

Jude is has hot tempered as before, but he definitely has shown some improvement, but he’s still the same guy I fell in love with in the first book. He is still struggling with things, but he doesn’t let it stop him like it did before, and that was amazing to see.

Now Lucy, wow, this girl is something else. I do like her, but she can really do some things that make me want to shake her. However, through it all, her love for Jude was amazing and strong. She really stepped up when she needed too. And I’m so glad I got to see how her and Jude have grown together.

‘”Love is what brings you together, Lucy, but it’s the blood, sweat, and tears of hard work that keeps you together.”’

Now, Clash had some really amazing moments, things that made me sigh, swoon, blush, roll my eyes and made my heart gallop. But also gasping, weeping and breathless, and at times downhearted, however, Clash was an amazing second book. I know it will be one I will keep forever close to my heart. I am already missing Jude and wish there could be more of their story. I guess I’ll settle for just being able to reread Crash and Clash :)

So! If you love books that are full of raw emotions, relationship that truly get tested, moments of great swoon and also leave you clutching your heart. I recommend this series. Jude and Lucy’s story is one I would want everyone to experience.

  1. Oh no, I can tell this book is going to frustrate me, but in the best way possible. I seriously need to read this book, but I keep getting distracted, plus I'm in a very adult book mood lately.

    Fabulous review as always!

    4. I really dislike all the hate it gets, it isn't meant to be great literature, just a fun story. I now want to read Bared To You, I've heard Fifty Shades fans will enjoy it.
