Review: Finale (Hush, Hush #4) by Becca Fitzpatrick

Title: Finale
Series: (Hush, Hush #4)
Author: Becca Fitzpatrick
Genre: Young Adult
Rating: 5 stars out of 5
Will love conquer all?

Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.

Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.

But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.

As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.

Now first, my emotions through gifs.

How I felt when I had the book in my hands!

 My emotions while reading Finale:

When I finished it and it hit me it was the last book:
Did you enjoy that? I know, it was a roller coaster of emotions! Now on to the actual review!

**I tried my best not to include spoilers, but proceed with caution**

My Review:

This book! Dear sweet Jesus in the sky above!  Thank you Becca, thank you so much for delivering this book to us meager humans, we do not deserve something so grand, but alas, you bestowed upon us a great book! The fourth book of the Hush, Hush series, Finale, is like a gift from the gods.

Okay, maybe all that is a bit of an exaggeration, but Finale was an astounding book, an amazing way to end the series.  And to say I was blown away, well, that’s a bit of an understatement! I feel Becca did an amazing job drawing everything up, closing all loose ends and giving us an ending I just adored. I tried not to have expectations or imagine things up for this book, and I did a good job sustaining from that. So, when I finally had Finale in my hands, I was lost to the outside world for a good two days! And let’s just say, WOW, Becca, you did amazing with this book!

“Kiss me in a way I'll never forget. Kiss me in a way that will stay with me until see you again”

Nora and Patch are finally back and just when they have each other in their arms, life gets even harder for them.  Now with Nora being a Nephilim, and having to be the leader of the whole Nephilim army, things just aren't easy anymore.  The only enemies that Nephilim have are fallen angels. And with Patch being a fallen angel, is he Nora’s enemy? Can their love withstand this new obstacle?

With so much at stake, with new and old enemies and danger around every corner, Patch and Nora fight to stay by each other’s side. They know their love is stronger than anything, it’s the greatest weapon they have.

Some people go their entire lives never feeling the emotions you’ve given me.
There is no regret in that.”

So for this review, please just bear with me, I don’t think I’ll make much sense.  Once again we enter into the world that Becca has created, with characters I have fallen madly in love with *coughPatchcough* and a story that is breathtaking and mesmerizing. It was so great to see the characters again, see the changes that have taken place, how they have handle everything and so see how much they have grown.

There was so much leading to this book, so much to where Nora and Patch are, and how they are handling the situation they are put in. I feel through it all, they truly love each other and it shown so brightly in this book. I was very proud of both Nora and Patch, especially Nora. She has come a long way since the first book.

Not only did we get to see the wonderful characters Nora and Patch, we got to once again see Scott, Marcie and Vee, along with some new characters.  As for these characters, I was happy to see some, some got on my nerves, other’s I want to stab in the eye with a sharp and hot object.  But I did see some more character growth. Becca did a good job on that.

With the enemies that are trying to tear Nora and Patch up, they really show strength in Finale. We get to see how they will do anything to stand beside each other. It was really beautiful and very heartwarming. And I was happy to see Nora not really doubt Patch, but I did want to shake her at points. Though they each face challenges, they try their best to keep their heads clear and their path in focus. However Nora does struggle a bit, she because a very strong heroine. Then Patch, dear heavenly father, that boy is yummy!! I could just go on and on about him, and I really wish I could! But I was so happy to see him again and we do get to see so much more of him in Finale. He is, definitely and will always be, one on my favorite fictional bad boy crushes!

You go through so much in Finale, so many emotions experienced, so many feelings; it really is a roller coaster of a book! So much happens in Finale I was left spinning days after, and a lot of things did happen. I was taken by surprise so many times during this book, and it wasn't what I expected at all!! I cried, I swooned, I mourned, I laughed, I rejoiced, and I soared above the clouds all within this remarkable book! Even though I would love for this series to never end, I feel Becca did an amazing job warping it all up.

‘”I wanted you, all of you.”’

The Hush, Hush series will always be one of my favorites, and it is so sad to see it end!
However, it is a series I will always come back to, revisiting Patch and Nora when I long to be consumed within their world once again.

Finale was amazing, breathtaking and exquisite.

A great way for the series to come to an end.
