Day 09 –A book you thought you wouldn't like but ended up loving:
The Fifty Shades Trilogy

Well, guys. This is another hard question for me to answer. I also had to do some serious thinking about it, 'cause, honestly, I have a pretty decent instinct when it comes to books I know I'll love or to books I know I won't like.  So, if I feel like I'm not going to like a book, get that little feeling in the pit of my stomach, I generally don't pick the book up. I can't waste my time reading books I don't like, too many on my to-be-read list as it is.

After looking over all my books, and trying to decide, the only book I can really remember reading, and then actually enjoying it, would have to be the Fifty Shades Series. I know, I know! You guys don't have to say anything... I was literally scared to read this series. I was also having this long internal debate with myself if I such even start it.  And, honestly, I wasn't going to even give it a chance. I generally stay away from 'those' kinds of books. I'm not really into 'heavy' books like that. Not really my cup of tea. Then from what I heard about it... I felt like I wouldn't like it.

Now, why did I give this series a try, especially when I was so against starting it? Well, that has to do with a wonderful book blogger I know, whose judgement of books I will never doubt,  she told me to gave the series a try. It wasn't what she expected at all. It was much more than just sex. It had a decent story line, characters that felt real, and was enjoyable to read. So, trusting her, I took the jump. And low an behold, I actually did enjoy the series! I did have to get used to certain 'scenes', if you catch my drift, but it was a series that amazed me. I didn't expect to like, I was so sure I wouldn't, but after reading all three books in three days, I realized it wasn't a half bad series. However, this is a book for readers who can handle 'heavy' love scenes.
