He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…
Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.
He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong–but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents . . .
But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me.
I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations.
If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?

Real was a really steamy read that had me drinking a lot of ice cold water. It had all the things that make a woman sigh. Now, I heard a mix of great things about Real and bad things. It can be a hit or miss kind of book. And honestly, I do have a few mixed feelings about it, but nonetheless, I enjoyed getting lost in *coughRemycough* the story Katy created.
For the characters, well, again mixed feelings about some; Brooke mainly. She’s a good character, but at times I just didn’t enjoy being in her head. Remy is definitely the complicated character. He had a lot more going on. But despite that, he and Brooke made an amazing couple, I felt they worked well. Even though Remy had problems, Brooke could handle them.
The side characters, never to be forgotten, where a joy to read, well, some of them were. Brooke’s bff kind of got on my nerves, honestly. But other than that, I felt the cast of characters Katy created to be fun to read. The pacing was decent, though, it did feel a bit fast. Real was also filled with a lot of emotion, and it was a ride!
“I'll never have enough of you, never.”
Now, some have compared this one to Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire, and I am here to say the only similarities are the main guys being a fighter. That’s where the similarities end, for me anyways.
Real is like porn with a side of intense romance and underground fighting.
What I loved: Remy, at times, he really got me hot! The idea the author had for the story was amazing. I love a guy who fights, and well, have a few problems, a dark side I guess. I don’t know why. I might need to ponder this...
I also found the animalistic…er..’terms’ to be kind of … hot! *hides* I also felt Brooke and Remy had genuine attraction to each other, instant hot! I also giggled a lot while reading this book.
What I felt needs improvement: I’m not a grammar Nazis, hell, I suck at it. You can tell just by my reviews. However, I found quite a few mistakes in the books. Words, yes words were missing and misspelled at times. And, the et cetera, et cetera. Of course this made reading confusing at times. I couldn't believe the mistakes I found!
Now, I did say some of the words were hot, however, some were just too much.
"As soon as he spots me, his eyes come alive, as alive as I feel when he smiles. He holds my gaze while those dimples flash, and I swear he stares at me in a way that makes me feel that I am the only woman here."
All in all, I did enjoy Real despite a few things that I felt could have been better. This book is either you love it, or you don’t. Now, I didn’t love it per say, but I did really enjoy reading it. Getting lost in the world Katy created.
It’s a steamy read! One that will get ladies all hot and bothered! Especially if you love those dark, fighting, guys. With rippling muscles. If the book sound like something you’d enjoy, give it a chance, you might love it!
