My Thoughts

You know those books you just fall head over heels in love with? It has everything you desire in a book? Well, The Brightest Kind of Darkness series is that kind of love for me! I adore this series, everything about it! So, when Destiny finally got into my hands, I was beyond happy! And, well, it was everything I wanted, but yet, nothing what I expected. It was filled with so many twists and turns, so many things that had me one the edge of my seat, devouring every word.

P. T. Michelle has literally out done herself with this book. I didn't think this series could take on anymore mysteries, twists or turns. But oh, it does! I had no clue what was going on. And I loved that!  Destiny is also very much plot driven, but also very character driven as well. I fall in love with every aspect of this book.

Ethan and Nara are back, and, dear lord, they go through quite the emotional turmoil in this book. However, though it made me very emotional, it was for the best. By the end of this book, both Ethan and Nara are even stronger characters than they were before.
He affects me deeply. And he always will.
Nara is still that stubborn, determined, and very level-headed heroine that I adored in the first two books. And she does get tested quite a bit in Destiny, and as I mentioned above, it was worth it. With her being challenged, she became even stronger. And with all the mysterious things that keep happening to her, and when the ones she loves are in danger, she doesn't stop. That girl keeps fighting!

And Ethan! LORD! I love this boy! He is and forever will be one of my most favorite fictional male characters ever! Like Nara, he has grown so much from the first two books, and I’m so proud of where he is now. Ethan has dealt with a lot, things others would never be able to handle, but in the end, his true strength came shining through brilliantly.

What I love the most is that this book switches POVs between Nara and Ethan! Yes! I loved that so much. To be able to be in both of their heads was an amazing experience! I got to understand their feelings, their hopes, desires, dreams, and their sadness. It helped me connect with them on a more personal, emotional level. It also made me love their characters even more.

Some old characters are back, and there are even a few new faces introduced.  Each one played a great role in the story, even if it was small.  They made the story that much more better, and added a great component to the world that Michelle created. Some challenged the characters, tested them, and/or helped them, even in the smallest of ways.

Now, let’s talk about the smexy factor in Destiny. Without spoiling anything of course! Let’s just say that Ethan makes me melt! Like a puddle of goo!! That boy can make me swoon!! Oh! I loved the more intimate scenes between Nara and Ethan. Thank you Michelle for that!

Ethan also appears a lot more in this book than the last one, so if you were missing him, don’t worry! You’ll get your Ethan fix!
She shatters me. Every damned time.
Destiny was well paced, full of great descriptions, and wonderful characters. The emotions seeped right off the pages! And all the plot twists left me reeling and I had no clue where the story was going. This book really makes the series that much more interesting, and adds so much more depth to it. The world Michelle created is so intricate, so detailed, it left me breathless and wanting more! The mythology and legends she adds are stunning and brilliant. I adore this series! Destiny really did change everything I thought I knew about these books. I cannot wait for the next one!

I definitely recommend this series if you love books that will keep you enthralled days after you read it. Ones that is full of supernatural goodiness, romance, adventure, mystery, and SO MUCH ANGST!
