Before she goes after the life she’s always wanted, she’s about to find the one she needs.
Pepper has been hopelessly in love with her best friend’s brother, Hunter, for like ever. He’s the key to everything she’s always craved: security, stability, family. But she needs Hunter to notice her as more than just a friend. Even though she’s kissed exactly one guy, she has just the plan to go from novice to rock star in the bedroom—take a few pointers from someone who knows what he’s doing.
Her college roommates have the perfect teacher in mind. But bartender Reece is nothing like the player Pepper expects. Yes, he’s beyond gorgeous, but he’s also dangerous, deep—with a troubled past. Soon what started as lessons in attraction are turning both their worlds around, and showing just what can happen when you go past foreplay and get to what’s real…
What a sexy read. And when I say sexy, oh, I mean S-E-X-Y! Foreplay was a wonderful story about a young woman finding love in the most unconventional way, ever. I really enjoyed how the story played out, the characters, their diverse personalities, and the author’s writing style. From the moment I started this book, I was pulled in and I couldn't put it down.
The story, like I have mentioned, was wonderful. It was pretty unique in my opinion and the play of events really captured my attention. I felt the story played out well, the writing was captivating, and the pacing was just to my liking. I thoroughly enjoyed how the author also built up her story line and the slow, but grandly character development.
“I wouldn’t have waited this long for you. I would have already showed up at your dorm the minute I decided I wanted you. I wouldn’t leave until I convinced you that you were mine”
With that being said, I definitely enjoyed the main character Pepper. Loved her name! Though she was a very naive person, very innocent, the growth and personal development she went through in the book was remarkable. What made her so likable was the fact that she really stood up for her mistakes and took action when she did something wrong. Most heroines usually don’t do that in books, so that was a refreshing element to Foreplay.
Now for the sexy factor, I mean Reece. I totally fall for this character right away. How could you not. He is the perfect balance for Pepper and did I mention sexy? Everything that Reece did made my heart pound and, gosh, he was just such a sensual character. He had the strong, quiet and nice guy done pat, yet he also eluded the very dominating and dark side, too. And watching the development between Pepper and Reece was so much fun!
The side character’s, especially Emerson, was a joy to experience. She had such a fun personality. I couldn't’t help but like her. Though the side characters were nice, I believe it was the more sensual aspect of this book that left me with all girly-giggly. The sexy scenes were well written and just plain HOT!
I enjoyed watching Reece and Pepper interact. Each time and with each situation that arose for them was an experience. Watching not only Pepper grow, realize who she is and what she truly wants, but also getting to know Reece and watch him grow was what really enthralled this story for me. And in the end, I was so happy with both characters.
It was as though my body lived and breath for this. For him.
Foreplay was a great, sexy, and very alluring read. It held a great story line, pacing, and captivating characters. The book really showed me that perfect isn't what we think it is and it isn't what we really need. This was one intense, emotional and all around sexy book. I definitely recommend it to New Adult lovers who want an amazing story line with a great steamy factor!
