Jumble Your Genres Reading Challenge: March ~ Urban Fantasy

So this year Readers Live A Thousand Lives, Corrie The Book Crazed Girl, and Lovin' Los Libros have teamed up to host the Jumble Your Genres Reading Challenge! For this challenge, the goal is to mix up the genres/categories we read. We have all had those times when we have gotten stuck in the genre/category we are currently reading and read nothing else for a while. The goal here is to mix that up! Each month we will feature a different genre/category and the goal is to read and review one book or more in that genre/category during that month. This month we are focusing on Urban Fantasy. If you want to find out more and join in, go sign up here.

I love Urban Fantasy. I think what I enjoy most is the mix of paranormal/supernatural with the more modern world. It's also hard to pick books that are just Urban Fantasy, so I do have a few that are also classified as YA/NA fantasy, but they are Urban Fantasy books as well. So here are some of my favorites:

For the challenge this month I plan to read Immortals (Runes, #2) by Ednah Walters. I really enjoyed the first book! It's an Urban Fantasy dealing with Norse mythology!

  1. I had such a hard time picking books that were Urban Fantasy too since most of the UF books I read also fall into other categories-- you should have seen me debating books on whether it counted as UF or not lol Love that we both have Unchained on there! That book is so amazing! OH and I did I forget to include Ruined *sigh*

Cannot wait to see what you think of Immortals... I thought that was a good follow up!

PS- I miss the old covers for the Runes series

    1. OMG! I had such a hard time picking too!!! I debated for days about which books to post! Lol unchained was soo good :) and I agree, I liked the old covers too!

  2. Really like City of Bones and the series in general. It has its faults, but it's still great.

  3. This was a hard one! I kept wondering if what I was picking was Urban Fantasy, lol. I really can't wait to read Ruined, Unchained, and start Rachel's series!!!

  4. I loved Ruined and City of Bones too!!!! I've been very curious about the Runes Series, so I can't wait to read your review on Immortals. Yay!!! I'm so glad you loved Unchained! That's my read for the challenge this month! This is such a fun challenge! I'm glad that you, Jessica, and Teresa created it!
