Jumble Your Genres Reading Challenge: April ~ Middle Grade

So this year Readers Live A Thousand Lives, Corrie The Book Crazed Girl, and Lovin' Los Libros have teamed up to host the Jumble Your Genres Reading Challenge! For this challenge, the goal is to mix up the genres/categories we read. We have all had those times when we have gotten stuck in the genre/category we are currently reading and read nothing else for a while. The goal here is to mix that up! Each month we will feature a different genre/category and the goal is to read and review one book or more in that genre/category during that month. This month we are focusing on Middle Grade. If you want to find out more and join in, go sign up here.

Well, I thought I hadn't read a lot of Middle Grade books in my time, but as I was searching I realized I have! Though it's been years since I read these books, I remember loving them when I read them. So here are a few of my favorites!

Holes (Holes, #1)     Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)     Ella Enchanted  Fever 1793

The Outsiders  Howl's Moving Castle (Howl's Moving Castle, #1)  Little House on the Prairie (Little House, #2) The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (The Chronicles of Narnia, #1)

A Wrinkle in Time (Time, #1)

For the challenge this month I plan to read The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #1) by Rick Riordan. I love the movies and I've always wanted to start the series, I just never got around to it. Best chance to finally start it!

  2. Yay The Lightning Thief! Love that series! Percy is awesome! And wow, what a great selection of MG books! I would have added more to mine, but I was lazy. LOL. I remember loving Madeline L'Engle when I was younger!

  3. I have only read the first book in the Harry Potter series when I was younger. Never continued with it.

    Happy reading.

I got the set for my daughter when I was pregnant, and can't wait tip when she's old enough for me to read them to her! Holes was a great book as well, and I loved The Outsiders!!! Great List Magen!
