Quote of the week: Nicole Krauss

Quote of the week is a weekly bookish post.
Each Friday, I will pick one of my favorite quotes to share with you, my wonderful readers!!

Quote of the Week:

“Once upon a time there was a boy who loved a girl, and her laughter was a question he wanted to spend his whole life answering.”
― Nicole Krauss

Book Crazed Girl Update

The reason I chose a quote about love, when I usually choose a more bookish quote, is because today is mine and my husband's five year wedding anniversary! I cannot believe five years have past since I married my high school sweetheart. We've been together for nine years. It's hard to warp my head around that number, it doesn't seem possible. Not only is he my husband, but he is my best friend, my shoulder to lean on, and my confident. I have been blessed to have him in my life. So I chose a quote, as best as I could, to reflect that.

And I will also be gone the entire weekend, so I'll probably be MIA.

Also, I haven't been around as much lately because I've been busy working and I'm in the process of moving! We are leaving Jacksonville, NC behind. This weekend we will be looking at houses in Greensboro, NC.

Hugs for you all!

With love,

  1. Happy wedding anniverary, Magen! I hope you have a wonderful time with your husband. That's so funny, but my wedding anniversary was on the 27th of August. We got married 6 years ago and we've known each other for 7 years. Yeah, I know, we got married really fast and I married young (I was 22) and I'm a young mom, but I am happy with my decision because I've always wanted to get married young and to be a young mom.

How old are you? Hope you don't mind me asking. And where are you working? Are you also studying at the same time?

  2. Congratulation to you and your husband! And thank you!

That is quite funny! And I don't mind you asking at all. I also got married young. At the tender age of nineteen. I did turn twenty almost two months after I married though. In October I'll be turning twenty-five. I can't believe it. Since my husband was still a Marine when we got married, I moved around a lot because of his deployments, so I did start school a bit later. I have my Associates in English and am working on getting my BA in English and Writing. I'm currently working for my husband actually. He is the district manager of all the E.V. stores in Jacksonville, NC. But he is getting an opportunity to open stores in Greensboro. So, for a little while, I'm helping him out while we move and he sets up his new stores. But my focus is on my writing!

    1. I think it's very romantic that you married your high school sweetheart!

A B.A. in English and Writing? That's so cool. Good luck with school and with moving then! And it's really great that you help out your husband!

We will be moving next year too, but we'll stay in the same city. Still, I am not looking forward to it because moving with small kids isn't easy.
